Ross Graduate Named Goldwater Scholar at Miami University 💛🐏

We are proud to celebrate Sara McGinnis, Ross High School Class of 2023 graduate, who has been named a Goldwater Scholar for 2026–2027 at Miami University — one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for undergraduate students in STEM fields.

Sara is one of just 454 students selected nationwide for this highly competitive scholarship, chosen from 1,485 nominees representing 482 institutions. The award recognizes students who plan to pursue research careers in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering.

Alongside fellow Miami University students, Sara is also among only 10 students from Ohio public universities to receive this distinction.

Her achievement reflects the dedication and passion for learning that began at Ross and continues to grow. We are incredibly proud of Sara and all she is accomplishing. Congratulations! 💛🐏
