PTO Fall Carnival
October 20, 2023 - 5 PM to 9 PM
The Morgan Elementary PTO Fall Carnival is a yearly event held at Stricker's Grove amusement park, usually scheduled to match the high school football calendar. This event is a major fundraiser for the Morgan Elementary PTO, making up almost 70% of their annual budget. The amusement park is rented for the day, with gates opening at 5 PM and rides starting around 5:30 PM until they close at 9 PM. The PTO offers a grill area where guests can purchase hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, and pizza by the slice or whole pie from a local pizzeria.
The funds raised at the Carnival are used to buy classroom supplies, provide educational book vouchers for each student in the spring book fair, and improve the school facilities. During the 2022-2023 school year, we were able to provide funds to purchase modern, handicap-accessible swingsets for the main playground and preschool playground. We also provide meals and events for the staff, including conference meals, monthly staff morale boosters, holiday luncheons, and staff appreciation luncheons. Additionally, we sponsor in-school assemblies such as COSI, MadCap Puppets, and Science Mayhem and host family events like a trunk or treat, cookies with Santa, holiday shopping, a spring ice cream social, and Grandparents Day.
To make the Carnival a success, we rely on donations and volunteers. Companies can support our school by sponsoring or donating to our grand raffle booth, basket raffle booth, and grill.
