ACCELERATED READER (AR) SHOPPING
A reading incentive program used in the classroom by the teachers to help develop reading skills. Participating students read a book, take a short comprehension quiz (on any school computer) and earn points based on that score. Students cash in their points each trimester for reward items. The chairperson works with Mrs. Bowers to track students’ reward points, plans and purchases incentive items, and schedules volunteers for AR Shopping Days. Volunteers assist students in shopping using their earned reward points.

BOOK FAIRS: FALL & SPRING
A convenient and fun way to let our children learn to choose reading materials at their level and experience the excitement of picking out a book that interests them. Scholastic brings the books to Morgan, with the selection expertise of our librarian, Mrs. Bowers. Many parents are needed to help shoppers and set up. If you'd like to help please contact:

COSI on WHEELS
COSI on Wheels will bring a truckload of science and fun to Morgan Elementary. Students participate in hands-on stations, during this fun day-long event.

FIELD DAY
Field Day is a year-end favorite for students, families, and Morgan staff. Students participate in fun, physical, team challenges. PTO provides snacks and cool treats for the students. Family members and other well-wishers are welcome to attend and cheer on the students.

RED RIBBON WEEK
A service project in which students participate in activities that promote drug and alcohol prevention. This is coordinated by the school counselor.
SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS
A convenient and time-saving way to purchase your child’s school supplies. As a service to our families, PTO offers prepackaged school supply kits for order through a vendor. Chairperson selects the vendor, coordinates the order and delivery of kits.

Help Morgan Elementary PTO earn money just by buying the things that you already do! The best part is the donations don’t come out of your pocket when you participate in these programs. Morgan Elementary PTO partners with businesses that offer reward points redeemable for cash or products for our school; these businesses will donate a portion of your purchases to Morgan Elementary as your beneficiary.

FALL CARNIVAL- Hosted at Stricker's Grove
This is our annual festival for our students, families, and staff. It is a night filled with food, fun, and fellowship with our Morgan families. This will be our 8th year at Stricker’s Grove and it is always a HUGE success and our largest fundraiser. This year's carnival is scheduled for Friday, October 7th from 5 - 9:30 pm.

MUMS & SPRING FLOWERS
An organized fundraiser where we ask students and parents to voluntarily sell fall mums or spring flowers. We liaison with Joco Growers to bring real products that are fresh and healthy to the consumers at exceptional prices.

SANTA SHOP
A week-long event during school that provides an opportunity for students to purchase gifts for Christmas presents. This runs during the school day similar to the book fair. And is generally open during Cookies with Santa.

SPIRIT WEAR SALE
This is a service project that the PTO does for our students. The Spirit Wear Sale provides the opportunity for students to purchase Ross Rams apparel. A limited number of items are selected from a company and made available for purchase through the school sale. The chairperson and volunteers organize and run the sale, prepare order forms, place and deliver orders. Orders are delivered through the students of the school; no home deliveries are made.

COOKIES WITH SANTA
The PTO hires Santa to come into the school on a Thursday evening in early December as a way of saying "Thank you" for the generosity of support from the Fall Carnival. We provide cookies and milk for everyone, as well as have a craft or two available for the students to complete and take home as their gift. We provide everyone who tells Santa what is on their wishlist a candy cane as well. Spiritwear is also on hand for sale during this evening.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
A casual meet and greet for grandparents, students, and Morgan faculty. A great way for family members to catch a glimpse of student life at Morgan. Chairperson chooses a theme, coordinates with PTO to provide refreshments, and recruits volunteers to serve and welcome the grandparents to the building.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Visit the Morgan Arts Festival, where you can stroll through the art exhibits showcasing the student's creativity. After the show, stop by the PTO volunteer table to top off the evening with a complimentary ice cream treat. Chairperson plans the menu, purchases supplies, and recruits volunteers. Volunteers set up, serve and tear down.

MOVIE NIGHT
An evening of movies, snacks, and fun for Morgan families! Chairperson selects the movie, advertises the date and volunteer needs, purchases concessions for sale, and oversees all movie night activities. Volunteers supervise movie viewing and sell concessions. Movie Night was historically hosted in the gym in mid-winter, it was canceled due to COVID for a few years and this year (2022) the PTO Officers are bringing it back on August 26, 2022, and the event will be outdoors!

HOSPITALITY
Events throughout the year to support and show our gratitude to the excellent staff at Morgan. Chair and volunteers plan and carry out 2 conference night dinners for the teachers (fall and spring), 2 catered staff appreciation luncheons (one at Christmas and one in May), and purchase appreciation gifts for Morgan’s administrative assistants. May we also provide a week of activities designed to say "Thank you" to the excellent staff working with the students.
