Kindergartens have been getting ready for Spring and Easter activities, and are working hard on reading stories and writing our own stories.

Second grade: In math we are practicing counting money and making change. We will continue to read fairy tales and tall tales looking for historical and scientific influences. In writing we will begin to learn how to research and write reports. In science students will lean about weather and the changes that occur.

3rd Graders received letters from our Cincinnati Financial Pen Pals so we are writing back wishing them a Happy Easter. In Social Studies we are learning many interesting facts about Ohio. It is that time of year again to prepare for the OAA  in Reading. Geometry, angles, 3-D  shapes and fractions  are being studied in Math. We have finished our study of Forces and Motion in Science and taken that knowledge, along with our knowledge of Rocks, and created a Keynote Slide Show in Technology.

4th grade: In science, students wrapped up their weathering investigations to learn the differences between physical and chemical weathering.  They are now working on ipads to create a book about weathering and erosion.  On Friday the classes took a test on the material.  Math classes have been "playing around" with some probability and possible combinations.  Also, students have been practicing for the O.A.A. with previously tested questions.  All fourth grade language work has been focused on opinion piece writing.  As we end the third quarter we will see who has earned their 13 AR points.
