3rd Grade Explores Soil and Water Conservation

posted Oct 16, 2015, 4:50 AM by Elizabeth Drumm
The Butler County Soil and Water Conservation trailer visited Morgan on Wednesday, October 14th.  Third grade students walked through a life-scale cross-section of soil and went on a scavenger hunt for items such as fossils and evidence of pollution.  They also learned about the amount of time it takes for an inch of soil to form on the ground and discussed the fantastic diagrams posted on the outside of the trailer.  It was a fun, engaging science lesson for the students!
